The Council of Legal Education has released the result of the Bar Final Examination conducted in August 2018.
In a notice released by the DG, Prof Isa Hayatu Chiroma SAN, Out of a total number of 5,846 students who participated in the August Examination, a total number of 4, 633 (79.25%) students emerged successfull.
While a total number of 218 (3.73%) candidates graduated with conditional pass;
A total number of 965 (16.51%) candidates failed the examination And 30 (0.51%) of the candidates were recorded absent. total number of 161 (2.75%) candidates graduated with a FIRST CLASS. This is the first time such result is recorded in the history of Bar examinations.
Other results are;
Candidates graded in second class upper; 695 (11.89%)
Candidates graded in second class Lower: 1, 276 (21.83%)
Candidates in pass: 2,501 (42.78%)
The above translates in percentage as follows:
Pass – 79.25%
Conditional Pass – 3.73%
Fail – 16. 51%
Subject to the above of the above, the Call to Bar ceremonies for the successful candidates will hold on the 27th, 28th and 29th November, 2018.
